Animal integration is an integral component of a healthy ecosystem. At Sacred Ground and the Clark Family Farm, we use livestock to fertilize and regenerate soil. We do this to enhance natural cycles, including the carbon, water, and microbial cycles, to naturally tend the soil. By putting our focus on these natural cycles, we can farm without utilizing additional inputs that pollute the water and air.

Additionally, research shows that livestock raised in this manner more rapidly sequesters carbon than other farming practices. For every pound of beef produced, 3.5 lbs of carbon are sequestered in the soil. That means, for every Whole Herd Box you purchase, 50 lbs of carbon are sequestered!
